In December 2001, the Ministry of Labour, Government of Ontario, received the prestigious Amethyst Award for excellence in public service. Using the Common Measurement Tool and an outside polling company, the Ministry received an unprecedented 79.5% in an external customer service rating. Among enforcement agencies worldwide, this is a major achievement.
